How to Present Record Evidence Clearly
Clear presentation of evidence can help explain what happened during a record attempt and make the documentation easier to understand.
Start With the Record Details
Begin by identifying the proposed record, participant, date and location of the attempt.
Arrange Evidence in Order
Where possible, arrange photographs, videos, measurements and documents in a logical sequence that follows the attempt from preparation to completion.
Label Supporting Documents
Useful labels can identify the type of evidence and the part of the attempt it documents. Clear organization reduces confusion when reviewing multiple files.
Include Relevant Photographs
Select photographs that clearly show the participant, activity, measurements, equipment or other information relevant to the record criteria.
Organize Video Evidence
Video files should be identified clearly and retained in their original form whenever possible.
Include Witness Documentation
Where witnesses are part of the applicable requirements, their information and statements should be included with the other supporting documentation.
Keep the Original Files
Participants should retain original evidence even after submitting copies or other versions for review.
